So how did I prepare my blog for 2016? I made a list and re-evaluated what worked and what didn’t. I wanted to take my blog a notch higher so I had to improve on my schedule and regularly publish a new post weekly. I even set goals of what I wanted to achieve this year, and placed this on my mirror so I can see it every day. By taking these necessary steps, I noticed how much more driven I was, and it also paved way for me to come up with other things related to my brand (excited to talk about this soon).
Updating Profile and Design – Just like you get a makeover every year, you should also do the same when you update the look of your blog or edit your About Me or Contact page. It doesn’t have to be drastic; it can be a change of color, layout or font. You can do the same with the profile of your social media sites, the theme of your email or change the wallpaper on your laptop.
New Planner – Aside from buying a planner, I also bought a new notebook to write my to-do list. Even if I have a calendar and note app on my phone, I still prefer writing it all down.
Organize Emails and Folders – I’m very O.C., so I label and organize the emails I receive on a regular basis. This makes it easier when I have to back track and find something. I do the same thing on my computer and hard drives to make room for future files.
Clean your Desk and Storage – I don’t know about you, but I feel so much better when I get rid of piled papers and receipts that have been stocked up inside my drawer. I also check if there are give away items I don’t use or need anymore. I also switch things around and re-decorate my workspace which makes me motivated to work on new posts. Think Long-Term – If you want to achieve something, you have to set goals and think of ways on how you’ll get there. Build your brand by prioritizing what matters, and all your hard work will be worthwhile.
